Purpose of Role

The Finance Accountant will develop systems to ensure accurate and timely accounts

  • Interface with the Managing Director & Commercial consultants to ensure that our corporate financial goals are reflected in budgets and forecasts
  • Interact with operational management to ensure that business objectives are translated into financial goals and objectives
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, Fixed/capital assets, Treasury, Statutory financial reporting and taxes
  • Managing the monthly reporting processes including standard variable cost variance reports and account analysis
  • Managing the UK audit process and being the key contact for external auditors
  • Manage working capital and cash within the business
  • Be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the accounts, using SAGE
  • Prepare detailed monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Prepare and submit annual statutory accounts
  • Prepare annual budgets and ad hoc forecasts and costings
  • Monitor cashflow
  • Oversee general operational finance and credit control
  • Development of staff understanding of finance in business
  • Support supply chain

Skills and qualifications

Finance Accountant/Controller must demonstrate exceptional organisation and planning skills along with:

  • ACA or CIMA Qualified or equivalent
  • Functional application and understanding of SAGE 50
  • Minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience in finance or operational management in manufacturing preferred
  • Drive and passion to develop a rapidly growing business
  • The ability to communicate clearly with staff at all levels
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously

The Opportunity

The role is to support the growing product team. Responsible for managing all aspects of the safety, product lifecycle and quality of products and supply base.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop Quality Management Plans for all new ranges, to implement required quality audits, product testing and product inspections to provide an end quality process
  • Work closely with other departments including Product Development and Sourcing teams to ensure Quality is central in all new range development

To lead the electrical scope of work in the conversion of commercial vehicles into electric or hybrid electric vehicles. The position will be working primarily at the Rotherham facility and will play a key role in the integration of electric and hybrid drive systems into a range of commercial vehicles including trucks, buses and off road vehicles.

The Role -:
As Technical Service / Product Manager you will be located at Sheffield reporting directly to the Managing Director.
You will be responsible for ensuring products are developed and manufactured to the highest standards along with liaising with and supporting customer to deploy and use products across a wide range of equipment.
This will involve managing both internal and external project with a high focus on customer service.

Your sole objective will be to ensure that customers are able to maximise their benefit from the product range.
This will entail working with them to ensure that the equipment is correctly installed and the resulting data is captured, correctly and interpreted and managed.

This will involve remotely assisting customers with creating viable systems that enable products to be installed on a wide variety of large and complex equipment and the ensuring that the data delivers the expected benefits.

Candidates ideally should have the following -:

Man management experience.
An electronic engineering background with a minimum of a degree in an electronic engineering discipline.
Highly proactive, energetic attitude with a disciplined and structured work style.
A good understanding of project life cycles and project management.
