Our client a specialist play company  have established themselves as a leader within the play sector since their inception in 2000. Taking a design-led approach to their work, the design team is formed of Landscape Architects and passionate play specialists. They work closely each day with external designers and architects to support them with their play projects, as well as delivering an in-house design and build service. Their  manufacture partner,  is world renowned and has created some of the most iconic play spaces across the globe.

Overview:

  • A Landscape Architect to join the team in the Sheffield office to provide maternity cover with a view to a permanent role
  • This role could be suitable for a student seeking a year-in industry to gain experience, a recent graduate or someone in the industry looking for a change
  • In joining the  team you will be directly contributing to some of the best play spaces in the UK and across the Middle East working with a highly diverse client base

Essential Skills:

  • Competent and confident in AutoCAD, Photoshop & Indesign
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes, including Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, and willing to work flexibly to meet deadlines
  • Creative approaches to design and presentations
  • If you are applying as a graduate you must have completed your MLA by the end of the 2021 university calendar

Desirable Skills:

  • Hand drawing/sketching
  • Ability to use 3DS Max or other 3D Modelling Software

The role
• Deliver effective and appropriate ideas generation and creative brainstorming on projects
• Consistently produce high quality visual interpretation and execution of new and existing event creatives
• Concept generation and development of new event themes and identities
• Articulation of strategic and tactical deliverables against project objectives to ensure appropriateness creative delivery
• Undertake the creative design and development of subsequent print, digital and live experiential assets to exceptionally high standards
• Create visually engaging stories and narratives, translating these into compelling creative presentations and business proposals
• Act as an ambassador of creative influence, supporting creative leaders with initiative across the business
• Prioritisation and time management, ensuring deadlines are met and projects are managed

Skills and Experience
• Qualified with a degree, or equivalent, in Graphic Design or a related subject
• Industry and event design experience working within a creative or event agency is required
• Highly creative concept development skills with the knowledge and ability to communicate ideas and their application clearly, across live, print and digital channels
• A proved ability to translate creative thinking into intelligent and appropriate design that exceeds client objectives.
• An understanding/experience of developing innovative attendee engagement tactics
• Highly adept in the holy-trinity of design software packages, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design
• A good knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Dreamweaver, Muse and/or similar tools
• Highly versed in creative systems, processes and best practice for the technical development of both print and digital outputs
• An excellent communicator with the ability to develop engaging narratives and compelling visual rationales that drive creative proposals

The role:

Turning a brief into reality from large scale graphics to brochure or leaflet work, presenting concepts and ideas to clients.

Creating and developing graphic concepts to print ready artwork.

Good scope of modern techniques including multimedia would certainly be advantageous.

Representation at exhibitions

You will be working on anything from product launches, large scale conferences, events and exhibitions

Working with demanding clients with tight budgets, which requires the designer to have some reasonable knowledge of the different processes and methods within the print industry.

The candidate:

Previous agency experience preferred

Senior Marketing Officer

Key Duties

– Line manage the internal design team and the freelance design budget.
– Lead on the production and management of internal design jobs.
– Work with key agencies (including freelancers) to procure design and print services as appropriate.
– Lead on the production of high quality and engaging content for use across all channels.
– Design publicity material as required; including proof reading ensuring it is of
the highest quality.
– Support the Digital Officer to ensure the website content effectively showcases the business

– Support the development of social media activity where appropriate.
