Our client is looking for an Engineering graduate to join our team as a Process Engineer, which will be based in Sheffield. For this role, you will be working within the process engineering team to assist technology managers to design, build and commission their systems. You will also be required to support company safety, quality and regulatory approval functions. You will be reporting directly to the Lead Process Engineer

The successful candidate will be driven, pragmatic and able to work without supervision but be able to seek support and advice when necessary.

What will you be doing?
• You will be responsible for the design of process plant that meets customer specifications taking into consideration technical and economic feasibility. All within very tight time constraints
• Developing process design documents such as PFD’s, Process Calculations and P+ID’s
• Responsible for the correct specification of process plant equipment and identifying reliable suppliers. Generation of process plant bill of materials including equipment, valve and instrument lists
• Assisting the process design safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA and Action response reports
• Developing company technical literature including writing operational and maintenance manuals, acceptance testing procedures and risk assessments, maintenance procedures and risk assessments and compiling supplier information for technical files.
• Develop plant compliance documentation such as flammable gas safety reports, pressure safety cases, general and specific risk assessments and specialist compliance reports.
• Assisting group technology transfer with such tasks as commissioning test procedures, mechanical design reviews and control design reviews.
• Develop plant operation and control philosophies including process descriptions, control logic drawings, shutdown strategy, alarm lists and loop check sheets.
• Develop company technology by designing internal test apparatus and writing test apparatus operating procedures and risk assessments.

What are we looking for?
• Degree qualified Engineer (preferably Chemical or Mechanical)
• Chemical Engineering experience is desirable
• Evidence of study projects in appropriate areas
• Organisational and reporting skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills

Ideally you will have previous experience in palletised packaged foods recycling services as you will be responsible for gaining new business through marketing, sales, preparing bid tenders and proposals together with maximising business opportunities and retention of existing clients.

You will be dealing with customers who operate in a variety of industry sectors including packaged food waste management, food/organic waste so mainly warehouse, supermarkets and distribution hubs. You will be experienced in solution sales and able to identify your clients need and tailoring solutions to meet them. The ideal candidate will be self motivated, driven and determined to succeed so all in all a real ‘go getter’.

You can be based anywhere within the UK as this is a field based role as our client has a network all over the United Kingdom offering clients the highest level of service regardless of location and providing total waste management solutions. The successful candidate will therefore be able to sell in and secure business throughout the UK without restrictions on area. This is an opportunity for the right person to initially grow and build the business and then to grow and build their own sales team around them once up and running.

Knowledge and experience of AD Plants and AD Services (Anaerobic Digestion) and sales is highly advantageous for this role.

Post Room Operations Supervisor

As a result of my client’s positioning and recent expansion in their Property Law Centre they are now looking to recruit a Document Management Supervisor for their busy in-house mail room.

The role primarily involves day to day supervision and management of a team of around 15 members of staff supported on a day-day basis by 3 senior team members across 3 key sections within the Document Management team.  In turn, the Document Management Supervisor reports into the Shared Services Manager.  It is essential you have previous supervisory/management experience of a team within a busy mail room facility.

The team has been well established for a number of years and utilise scanning technology to capture documents electronically at arrival and these documents in turn are passed through to the case management systems.  You must have strong technical and operational knowledge and experience of using scanning equipment.

Additionally, there is a section which looks after all of the outbound printing and posting requirements and a further section that administer work on behalf of the Finance & Accounting teams (primarily inbound scanning of documents and audits).

The role is full time, 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday and usual hours of work would be 7:30 – 4pm

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and operational knowledge of post room and scan systems. The salary range for the role is £18,000 – £22,000 and includes 22 days holiday (plus statutory Bank Holidays).
