Another great month saw the team break our previous revenue targets bringing more good news!


Given June will see AFA celebrate its 15th anniversary we’re on a real high at the moment. With the wealth of experience the team have brought in contributing to the success over the years, we’re excited to see where the next 15 years take us, we want to say a particular thanks to Anne, Debra and Rebecca who have been key members of the AFA team for over 10 years!


We’d also like to say a big thank you to all our clients, candidates and suppliers who have helped us over the years, without the support offered by people like you, we’d not be where we are today.


We’ve had the opportunity to get out to some great events again in May with Steve and Dan going to Wild Card Bar & Grill to support Sheffield Children’s Hospital with their annual quiz night and we’re happy to say they were a solid 3rd (after the 1st round) and still managed to finish in a respectable position by the end of the night.


Steve also had the pleasure of presenting to Island Networking where he was able to give some advice on why partnering with a recruiter can be a big benefit for your business. We’ve also continued to visit events at Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster Chambers this month too.

Business Development Manager (Covering Europe) – based Ipswich IP9

Our client is a design, innovation and manufacturing company that produces products for the lifestyle leisure vehicle market, including E-go Movers, Full Stop Security products. A Design led company that has always sought to provide innovative and affordable solutions based on the needs of the market and not the direction of the competition.


They are now looking for a Business Development Manager with proven experience of business development outcomes and bringing growth into companies. Working alongside the Brand leader



  • Management of accounts in EU and Camper dealerships.
  • Drive growth across the brands and expanding range of products.
  • Work to gain new business relationships, maintain and grow existing relationships and in turn increasing sales turnover and unit quantities across all product lines.
  • Increase both the retailer/wholesaler and EU dealer network – initially targeting blackspot areas, winning new active and engaged clients.


Who are they looking for:

You will be motivated, driven and client focused and be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience of business development outcomes and bringing growth into companies.
  • Proven sales outcomes against forecasts in a competitive marketplace.
  • Able to sell ideas, products, and services; and negotiate growth outcome.
  • Lead the EU growth strategies and outcomes.
  • Exhibition work will involve travel, setup and pack down of stands, towing units to the location and sometimes involve weekends with time off in lieu in return for weekend work.
  • Strong IT skills – including creating presentations for BD leads.
  • A solid understanding or qualification in business and marketing principles.
  • Full, Clean Driving License – towing a trailer to be expected.
  • Ability to travel at short notice/longer periods.
  • Ideally a background in the leisure industry but not essential.
  • Multilingual – particularly German (Desirable)
