AFA are looking to appoint a Finance Manager for a global leading Manufacturing organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a UK level performing the day to day financial control of the UK service centre. The role is fully supported by Global finance but offers real autonomy and a chance for future development and progression.

The role can operate on a hybrid model with both office and home working and can also offer flexible start time to accommodate school drop offs or Travel times. The role offers a competitive remuneration package and a modern office working environment

Individual accountabilities

  • Support Financial Controller UK SC in all aspects of delivering unit/functional kpi’s.
  • Support accounts receivable coordination with GBS Vilnius.
  • Support transactional services OFS to ensure business support provided at an acceptable level.
  • Maintain cashflow forecast and manage cash position accordingly. Updating Trezone for Treasury.
  • Prepare timely & accurate management reporting for local Management Team & Sales Network.
  • Prepare financial statements in IFRS to CAT and UK statutory accounts locally.
  • Monitor local compliance to Group & BA authority to commit in terms of approval matrix in Docsweb.
  • Administer payment proposals, contracts within authority, legal documents eg bank authorities.
  • Deliver group reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as well as all non-financial data
  • Deliver all ad hoc group, BA and business data requirements.
  • Indirect responsibility for cost control SC. Indirect responsibility for working capital SC.
  • Running month end procedures on ERP

Requirements for the role

  • CIMA Qualified or year 3 CIMA finalist.
  • Distinct organizing/prioritization ability
  • Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for quantitative decision analysis
  • Good communication skills
  • Cooperation with cross border teams eg GBS, SC Network
  • Understanding of business processes.
