Business Development Manager

Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent  position


Execute new business opportunities with a particular focus on IT solutions.


• Accountable for new business sales revenue and profitability targets, focused on the full range of our client’s solutions as well as some revenue retention in existing customer base
• Create new business opportunities – generating and attending prospective client meetings, preparing responses from invitation to tender through preparing commercial terms to underpin a new proposal.
• Retain existing accounts and maximising other profit opportunities, where applicable
• Work with existing account and sales management team to achieve stretching revenue targets

Our expectations of you include:

• Implement and drive a new business plan into target sectors and accounts along with a strategy to generate value across the payments ECO system  and any other market verticals identified
• Develop a pipeline of qualified business opportunities through proactive sales contact and professional qualification
• Generate sales against new pipeline activity to achieve annual new business targets
• Monitor feedback from opportunities/customers to measure their satisfaction with company products
• Where applicable you will establish and maintain effective strategic relationships in existing accounts and new accounts
• Maintain all required records of leads, opportunities, sales and other relevant information through company CRM system to enable performance to be measured and monitored
• Provide accurate forecasts for the business to manage revenue expectations
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of products and services and of our client’s business overall
• Negotiate and manage the contract process with your customers, working within the company’s approval parameters
• Maintain an excellent knowledge of the market, your competitors and customers


Experienced Performer

• Experience within a sales/business development role
• Experienced negotiator with a good understanding legal agreements and how they are constructed
• Strong track record of winning high value contracts within a business to business environment
• Strong negotiation skills gained in a competitive commercial environment
• Excellent strategic vision and commercial acumen
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills to board level
• Proven ability to build, manage and maintain strategic accounts
• Ability to build and develop strong client relationships
• Ability to identify / analyse problems and think creatively
• Goal orientated
• Team player with strong individual motivation, drive and tenacity

Closer of Deals

• You turn as many opportunities into closed-won deals as possible
• Once an opportunity has been closed, you help manage the initial phases of post-sales support and ensure implementation is set up accordingly
• You tenaciously manage all opportunities and accounts assigned to you which are likely to fall across a myriad of industries
