Professional qualification such as AAT are desirable.

Credit Control

• Minimising outstanding debt
• Ensuring customers pay to credit terms
• Chasing payments via telephone & email
• Resolutions of invoice queries with sales team

Sales Ledger

• Posting cash
• Raising credits
• Setting up new customer accounts and agreeing terms
• Taking card payments

Purchase Ledger

• Matching supplier delivery notes to invoices
• Inputting invoices
• Resolutions of invoice queries with purchasing team
• Payment of purchase invoices via online banking
• Bank reconciliations
• Running a cash book and overall management of company finances

VAT

• Dealing with VAT returns and any necessary communication with HMRC along with our Chartered Company Accountancy Firm

Reports

• Producing month end sales & purchase ledger reports through our Access Accounts software & Microsoft Excel

Key Skills

• Highly motivated and organised

• Full computer literacy including Microsoft Office and accounting software
• Strong communication skills
• Works well under pressure to achieve deadlines

Management Accountant

Our client is looking for an ambitious Qualified/Part Qualified Management Accountant, reporting to the MD, a fast growing business that is expected to double its turnover within three years,

Duties and responsibilities

  • Day to day financial control of 3 companies with a current combined turnover of 2.5 million with projected growth of a 1 million in the next 12 months
  • Preparation of weekly and periodic financial and statistical reports
  • Reporting weekly and monthly management accounts
  • Ensuring all  purchase ledger routines are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Undertake nominal ledger tasks including processing journals, nominal ledger cross charges and period end reconciliations.
  • Producing robust Budgets and Forecasts
  • Involvement in Finance driven projects to improve controls and reporting
  • VAT/PAYE/Intrastats
  • Credit Control
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required

Experience required

  • Part Qualified or qualified by experience Accountant who is self-motivated
  • Numerate and methodical with good problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Able to seek, evaluate and organise information in a pressure environment. Meeting tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
  • Experience of working with quick books accountancy software
  • Looking for an ambitious self motivated person required
  • Commercially aware

Bookkeeper

Andy File Associates Limited are working on behalf of our client as an Employment Agency with regards this freelance position.

Our client is looking for a part time/freelance bookkeeper to manage a number of their clients’ accounts on a weekly/monthly basis.

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Petty cash analysis
  • Input of supplier invoices
  • Import and reconciliation of sales invoices
  • Accruals/prepayments and relevant journal entries
  • Monthly reconciliations of bank accounts
  • Reconciliation of any invoice finance accounts
  • Accurate month end reconciliations for all debtor and creditor accounts, company credit card and other control accounts
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Year-end accounts and statutory accounts process to accounts
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Supplier and customer query management
  • Balance sheet reconciliation of all balance sheet balances, with accurate supporting schedules to support
  • Posting employee expenses
  • Posting wage journals for internal staff and contractors

Candidate Requirements:

  • Book-keeping experience
  • Relevant qualification (ACCA/ACA)
  • Experience of Sage Line 50 is essential
  • Experience working with clients in the recruitment sector is advantageous
  • Experience working within invoice finance/factoring is preferred but not a necessity

The position is available on a part time/ freelance basis and the day rate is negotiable dependent upon experience.

Payroll Officer

Are you an expert at payroll who has a fantastic character and flexible approach to work? Andy File Associates Limited are working on behalf of their client as a Recruitment Agency with regards this permanent vacancy.

Our rapidly expanding Facilities Management Client is looking for a Payroll Officer to join their existing team.

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Monthly Payroll of 200 – 250 staff on Quickbooks
  • Processing quarterly, end of year PAYE returns, VAT returns and all Company House Returns
  • Maintaining all employee records including training, sickness and holidays
  • Assisting the Commercial Director with administration tasks if and when required

Essential Experience

  • Payroll of staff
  • Quickbooks experience would be a bonus
  • Processing quarterly, end of year PAYE returns, VAT returns and all Company House Returns

Hours: 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday (some flexibility available)
