Project Director

Andy File Associates Limited are working as a Recruitment Agency with regards this permanent position.

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Director to join an expanding accounts team in their West Midlands office.

You will be working with some of our key clients across a variety of events.  You will have strong operational event experience and be comfortable dealing with large scale and large budget events.  Ideally you will be used to working in an agency environmental juggling a variety of projects and clients at any one time.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management – working either together with the Account team or independently to deliver client projects taking ownership of client communication, delivering all production elements required and budget as necessary.  Will oversee and manage own projects as and when required Including large scale and high budget events.  Taking on or overseeing others in briefing internal departments, supplier liaison, content delivery, technical, logistics and delegate management and ensuring all paperwork completed to ISO9001 standards.  Involvement in inspiring creativity and emotional engagement as required, organising and facilitating creative meetings.

Financial Management – Working alongside and in agreement with the client account team, full control of all project budgets or elements of projects working to agreed margin targets. Timely reporting and reconciliation. Managing payment terms and invoicing to ensure all jobs are cash positive.

ISO 9001 – assisting Operations Director with training new starters as necessary and ensuring all account teams are adhering to the relevant processes and procedures.

New Business – assisting account team with proposals and pitches as necessary.

CRM – responsible for keeping CRM up to date with supplier contacts, supplier grading and updating notes etc.

Health & Safety – Ensure that all projects have adequate Health & Safety cover.  All Risk Assessments and Method Statements to be completed.

Supplier Management & Audits – Taking ownership of supplier relationships and ensure the best service and price is provided.

The role

Skills and Experience
– Qualified with a degree, or equivalent, in Graphic Design or a related subject
– Industry and creative lead experience working within a creative or event agency is required
– Highly creative concept development skills with the knowledge and ability to communicate ideas and their application clearly, across live, print and digital channels
– An exceptional ability to translate creative concepts with finesse into outstanding creative design collateral
– In-depth understanding/experience of developing innovative attendee engagement tactics
– Highly adept in the holy-trinity of design software packages, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design
– A good knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Dreamweaver, Muse and/or similar tools
– Highly versed in creative systems, processes and best practice for the technical development of both print and digital outputs
– An excellent communicator with the ability to develop engaging narratives and compelling visual rationales that drive creative proposals
– Excellent presentation development skills using PowerPoint and Keynote
– Strength and confidence in ability to present proposals face-to-face to business leaders and clients
– A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
– A deep understanding and interest in creative trends, social media and digital technologies

Duties and Responsibilities include:

Assisting with all Health and Safety and Quality documentation to include Risk Assessments and Methods Statements
Analysis of quality assessment
Working with Site Managers with regards any accident investigating and report writing
ISO Auditing
Communication with clients with regards Quality and Health and Safety
Communication with clients with regards to maintenance visits and reporting

CAD Production Manager (Exhibitions/Events)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to head up a Production CAD/CNC Joinery team.

The role
• Proactively manage the workload to ensure uninterrupted work flow of the production facility
• Preparation of working drawings, graphics layouts and stock item pick lists for the manufacturing process from supplied visuals, concepts, briefs, sketches and existing Vector Works files into large scale print outs using AutoCAD
• Prepare CAD models to ensure the highest sustainable yield when utilising the CNC machine and optimisation of production
• A highly proficient knowledge of AutoCAD
• Provide clear and accurate advice on methods of construction and have a working knowledge of exhibition joinery
• Manage the control and distribution of drawings internally and externally where applicable
• Work closely with Production, Graphics, Design and Project Management to ensure margin protection and offer technical support where necessary
• Organise past projects into an easy to use library for year on year recall
• Promote fresh and innovative thinking towards client solutions
• Regularly liaise with the Senior Production Team Leader and the workshop team
• Quality control on shopfloor – liaison with shopfloor workers, making sure they have all information required to standards set by our Manager, control drawings etc, making sure the workshop staff understands each detail and crosschecking that production is correct and in accordance with information provided
• Management and development of the CNC / CAD team to ensure output matches the growth of the department

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a rapidly expanding IT company based in Loughborough. The candidate will work in the technical department to provide day to day telephone & onsite support for both internal and external clients. This role is business critical and will be very much hands on.

 Skills and Experience

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Well developed analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to forge strong relationships with others
  • Proven high proficiency of Microsoft platforms, software and applications
  • Proven high level ability to provide support with a high level of independent resolution
  • Ability to draw on detailed analysis and communicate key points, findings and recommendations in an engaging way using appropriate language and style dependent on audience. Use appropriate data visualisation tools, present data and insight in meaningful ways, which can be understood by a range of audiences

  • Any knowledge/experience of Red gate SQL monitoring, SQL database, PowerShell/scripting would be advantageous but not essential

The role will involve travelling to client sites to perform installations as well as performing on site diagnostics. The role also will require the candidate to be on an out of hours rota and will involve occasional weekend and overnight work
