Reports to: Managing Director
Purpose of Role
The Procurement Supply chain role is responsible for procuring all the necessary services and products required to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing and delivery of products.
Main Responsibilities
- Buying products, materials and services to run the business
- Inventory management and control while maintaining working capital value to the business
- Managing the procurement/purchase order processes and policy
- Supplier relations and evaluations
- Maintain high level of sustainability and ethics through the value chain
- Logistics for shipping products
- Hazardous Material/Goods management and shipments
- Support finance with accounts payable/receivables, invoicing and bank statement reconciliation
Skills and qualifications
Finance Accountant/Controller must demonstrate exceptional organisation and planning skills along with:
- 3 years + industry experience in manufacturing procurement
- Functional application and understanding of SAGE 50
- Ability to work autonomously and analytically in a problem solving and constantly changing manufacturing environment
- The ability to communicate clearly with staff at all levels
- The ability to work to deadlines
- A willingness to work flexibly
- Skills to identify best value add to the business through the entire value chain. Familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles
- Business or engineering background

Job Summary
This position is to work within a procurement team, a three month assignment.
Duties include:
- V look ups & Pivot tables
- Updating spreadsheets
- Communication at all levels via phone and e mail
- Purchase orders
Experience:
- Purchase orders
- V look ups & Pivot tables knowledge essential
- Ability to work under own initiative or as part of a team
- Intermediate – advanced knowledge of all microsoft packages especially excel & outlook
Hours
- Mon – Thurs 8.30am – 5.00pm with 1 hour lunch
- Fri 8.30am – 4.30 with half hour lunch

Maintaining systems ensuring information is up to date

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
* Previous administration experience having touched on procurement
* IT literate including Microsoft Excel
* Ability to work under pressure
Hours :37.5hrs / week – 8.30 am – 5.00pm , 4.30pm on Friday
1 hr lunch, 1/2hr lunch Friday
