Our client is well established within the Exhibitions & Events industry, they design and build award-winning custom-built exhibition stands throughout the UK & Worldwide.

Due to continuing success our client are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team.

The role

  • Sourcing of new potential sales leads from cold calling through to delivery of brief document
  • Responsible for various sales reporting procedures
  • Manage extensive client database and everything else involved in the creation of new sales leads
  • Show marketing at large international exhibitions all over the world forms an important part of this exciting opportunity
  • To pro-actively target any leads generated
  • To identify any margin improvement opportunities on all clients.
  • Manage time and workload to ensure work is completed
  • To identify any additional services which may be presented to new clients
  • To work closely with the Sales Director to maximise the target sales strategies.
  • Visit existing clients to offer new services
  • Work closely with Account Directors, Project Managers and Design teams

 

Skills and Experience

The role is very much sales driven and an essential part of that will be to cold-call on prospective new companies both internationally and in the UK, and looking for other ways to develop new business opportunities. You must have a high level of entrepreneurial flair and enjoy the challenge of new business and the big win, be self-motivated, organised, self-disciplined, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills to present to clients face-to-face and to build effective relationships at all levels.

Business Development Manager

Accountabilities:

 

Achieve Sales in all business activity areas, with defined targets for generating software sales to meet monthly and quarterly targets.

 

Job Purpose:

 

  • Travel throughout the UK demonstrating our client’s software following a period of immersion in learning the software and of shadowing the Head of UK Sales.
  • Undertake account management and development own pipeline of opportunities.
  • Attend and contribute to sales meetings.
  • Meet defined Sales targets.
  • Assist with and undertake tender proposals under the direction of the Head of Sales
  • Update CRM database with relevant updates.
  • Monitor and report on market activities and provide relevant reports and information.
  • Attend conferences and exhibitions in relation to your job function, as required, both within the UK and overseas as required.
  • Undertake weekly webinars and produce marketing material and publications, as required.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience:

 

  • Proven sales experience is essential, software sales desirable.
  • Experience of delivering presentations to an audience of senior decision makers.
  • High level of communication skills.
  • Ability to understand, conceptualise and interpret the requirements of others.
  • Degree of personal initiative and responsibility.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in a wide variety of IT software and aptitude for learning.

An opportunity has arisen to join a multinational creative agency with a number of offices across the world as Business Development Manager.

The role is very much sales driven and an essential part of that will be to cold-call on prospective new companies both internationally and in the UK, building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities
– Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the client business and corporate objectives
– Record all interactions and company insight in the agency CRM system
– Face to face client meetings
– Support the creation of RFI documentation at early stages of a tender response
– Target new business opportunities
– Show walking
– Drive new briefs
– Marketing
– Build a sales pipeline of new business opportunities

Skills and Experience
– Previous experience in a Business Development Role, identifying and qualifying opportunities
– Proven track record achieving sale targets
– Industry experience essential (exhibition, live events. B2B)
– An excellent communicator
– Pro-active team player
– A good understanding of exhibitions, events and ideally experiential marketing

Creative Designer (Exhibitions/Events)

Our client is looking for creative minds to deliver exciting projects in the events / exhibitions industry.

• The candidate must be able to conceptually deliver strong ideas, and is required to produce designs through sketches, cad, or other software programs.
• You must be able to convey an understanding of manufacturing techniques in order that the ideas you come up with can be made, within brief and to a budget.
• The design role will require a free thinking, creatively focused individual who is self-motivated in getting the job done.
• You will be responsible for realising your own concepts, through own work and have the support of a strong team on occasions.
• The creative designer should be able to converse with suppliers/installers and to our own internal project management teams in specifying finishes and be responsible in retaining design integrity.
• The candidate must have good presentation skills conveying their ideas both internally with the agency and when facing clients.
• Creative input across a breath of disciplines, including digital when creating designs or concepts for interiors, exhibitions, large events, product launches.
