IT Helpdesk/First line Support Engineer

My client is currently looking for a Proactive IT Helpdesk/First line Support Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team.
The purpose of the role is to maintain and develop the IT systems of the company and for their clients.
Additionally you will support the staff in the usage of the systems, providing a helpful and proactive service to all employees and clients.
The successful candidate will document helpdesk requests to help discover trends and resolve underlying issues.

Job Description

Duties:

Help ensure efficient computer operations with effective use of RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) platform.
Resolve issues with the use of research, helpdesk tools and remote access software as well as in person.
Field incoming requests via helpdesk system, email and phone in a professional manner.
Help ensure the efficient running of our windows desktop/laptop and servers.
Record/track and document helpdesk requests
Access software updates, patches and drivers and knowledge base answers from the internet to resolve issues
Perform preventative maintenance
Provide support to Mobile devices
Roll out new laptops and desktops

Person Specification

Dedication to evolve and improve the end users IT experience.

A can do attitude and commitment towards customer satisfaction.

Ability to understand IT workflows to put automation in place to remedy quicker.

Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have confident IT skills with a strong technical mind. Knowledge of all the following is advantageous: Microsoft Operating systems, Exchange and Servers , VMware, Veeam and Symantec Back up software.

Additionally you should have a strong knowledge of IT Hardware and confident knowledge of Networking infrastructure.

Confident communication skills, excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills are also required.
