They are based in Sheffield UK, addressing a global market. The company is entering a phase of explosive growth in the next 6-12 months.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Picking and Packing equipment to fulfil customers’ orders
• Booking in collection of customers orders to be delivered around the world
• Co-ordinate and produce documentation for effective delivery and clearance of customs of customers’ orders
• Communicating with customers to confirm delivery has commenced
• Booking in goods as and when they come in the building
• Dealing with COSSH substances when they come in the building
• Calibrating software and equipment with new variants of oil
• Testing and basic assembly of bought in equipment
• Stock Taking and recording of all stock transactions on system both incoming and outgoing
• Place purchase orders with suppliers so that customers orders can be completed

Skills Required
• Knowledge and experience of using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
• Keen eye for detail
• Working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Knowledge of shipping processes and shipping documents
• Knowledge of Incoterms

Hours 

  • 9.00 am – 5pm ( 1 hour lunch )
  • Mon – Fri – 37 hours a week

Salary /Hourly rate 

Range – £12.50 – £15.00

  • Maintain high level of sustainability and ethics through the value chain
  • Logistics for shipping products

  • Support finance with accounts payable/receivables, invoicing and bank statement reconciliation

Skills and qualifications

Finance Accountant/Controller must demonstrate exceptional organisation and planning skills along with:

  • 3 years + industry experience in manufacturing procurement
  • Functional application and understanding of SAGE 50
  • Ability to work autonomously and analytically in a problem solving and constantly changing manufacturing environment
  • The ability to communicate clearly with staff at all levels
  • The ability to work to deadlines
  • A willingness to work flexibly
  • Skills to identify best value add to the business through the entire value chain. Familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles

Stores /Logistics Supervisor

The Stores / Logistics supervisor will oversee the day to day running of the Stores department to ensure efficient and timely delivery of parts and assemblies manufactured by the company to their destinations. You will be responsible for Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery of the departments activities and bring a fresh approach to this function to support production needs.

Stores / Logistics Supervisor

Working with and supervising a small team, the key task will be to manage all aspects of the stores functions and be responsible for the accurate and effective booking in and booking out of inventory items. Co-ordinating Sub Contract despatches / collections and delivering goods the  2nd site. To minimise shortages and to maximise quality products through supervisory control.

Reports to: Head of Manufacturing

Direct Reports: 3 stores operatives

Main duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan: Strategies for improving performance
  • Organise: Resources, staff deployment, performance feedback, Continuous improvement activities, distribution of work and team meetings
  • Maintain: Safe / Clean environment, Quality, Process Manuals, Production systems, access platforms meet safe systems of work, stock accuracy and take lead role in Stock takes and Cycle counting activities
  • Provide first hand support in the development of the stores function including developing, mentoring and leading the employees in line with business needs
  • Maintain accurate stock records
  • Participate in weekly cycle counts
  • Oversee goods receipt and checking, entering on to the companies MRP system ensuring that items are correctly located both physically and on the MRP system
  • The storage and control of items under COSHH Health and Safety legislation
  • Maintaining the quality, batch control and traceability of all parts ensuring the department operates in line with the companies QA systems
  • Implement and manage Line side stock replenishment and set up Kanban systems with suppliers.
  • Importation paperwork
  • Export Paperwork with appropriate legislative needs
  • Despatch documentation registering serial numbers and logging on serial number tracking.
  • Timely and accurate data entry into Sage
  • Flag non-conforming products immediately to the procedure
  • Follow Goods in Inspection procedure
  • Taking a leading role in scheduled stock takes
  • Control of goods out/in from subcontractors, liaising with subcontractors as necessary and do so in a timely manner
  • Perform and ensure accurate works order picking, stock issue and closure, and highlight and proactively manage shortages by producing shortage reports in advance of picking requirements
  • Ensure customer orders are adequately picked & packaged for safe, on time delivery
  • Liaison with the various carriers used for delivery to customers and arrange transport
  • Follow Quarantine procedure
  • Comply with Visual inspections and relocate stock to / from CMM inspection room as requested
  • Communicating part related non conformances through the NCR procedure
  • Understand and follow the stock location change documentation system
  • Highlight in a timely manner any potential or line stop shortages for early attention
  • Utilise the escalation process daily to minimise stock discrepancies
  • Supervise scrap prevention and follow scrap procedure
  • Ensure best practices are followed in the care and placement of all parts
  • Educate employees in the cost of scrap
  • Ensure timesheets, Authorised overtime, leave applications, self certified sickness / absence forms are completed and submitted correctly and on time
  • Perform return to work interviews
  • Monitor and address shortfalls identified in the versatility chart and assist in the monitoring and discipline of all KPI’s set for the team and individuals
  • To maintain discipline with the team and act as first stage report of any disciplinary matter or grievance
  • Carry out routine 1:1 meetings with team members and complete associated paperwork as determined by the company procedures

  • Must be able to demonstrate a broad job knowledge of stores / logistics activities preferably with supporting documentation
  • Understanding and experience in a production environment with a determination to ensure best practice
  • Quality focused with a keen eye for detail
  • FLT licence (counterbalance).

  • A desire not just to maintain but to improve procedures and processes
  • A good level of IT literacy (Sage, MS Excel etc. though training will be given)
  • Have a high level of numeracy with good attention to detail

Office Assistant

As a result of continued success, my client based in Sheffield is looking for an office assistant with drive and ambition to help relieve general office duties.

My client is within the recycling industry and so given the nature of the job somebody who shares a similar ethos would be highly beneficial.

General office duties to include:

Meeting and greeting clients

It is in an office environment so what would normally be expected in any similar role however there will be a requirement to walk to and through various areas of the site in order to collect paperwork.
