Business Development Executive
Our client are a fast growing distributer of high quality street furniture and lighting based in Sheffield. They are passionate about the public realm and strive to work with specifiers, suppliers and customers to help create high quality, innovative and effective public spaces.
They are now seeking to recruit an ambitious business development executive to join our team. The successful applicant will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for developing the business primarily in the North of England and Scotland. Enthusiasm, resilience, ability to develop rapport and good communication skills are all more important than previous experience in such a role. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience.
Job Spec
- Arrange visits to landscape architects practices to promote the business
- Provide continuing professional development training presentations to groups of landscape architects
- Attend exhibitions and seminars to meet new potential specifiers
- Arrange and attend study tours for specifiers both in the UK and overseas
- Assist with public realm projects by providing advice and acting as an intermediary with our suppliers

Experience
Degree qualified preferably in an art or design related field

Benefits & Hours
Hours: 8.30am – 5.00pm with an hour unpaid for lunch
Holidays: 22 days plus stats which goes up to 25 days plus stats at 1 year from year 3 to year 5
Company and individual bonuses equivalent to up to 15% of annual salary

As a Product Development Administration Assistant you will Assist the Product Developers and the Apparel Development Manager in all areas of design and development
You will be responsible for the following duties:
• Weekly critical path management, liaise with suppliers and update the critical path with the assistant Developer
• Take charge of all sample organisation, including requesting samples for photo shoots
• After sign off prepare and upload products onto the company’s online system
• Day to day communication with far east suppliers, requesting next submissions of lab dips, bulk fabrics and fit samples
• Monday morning competitor analysis to send to the buying team
• Liase with marketing for photoshoots and web content
• Assist the designer with swing ticket content
• Daily adhoc duties
• Assist with seasonal product launches
• Prepare for supplier meetings with the Apparel development manager, this includes creating packs for Far East buying trips
• Prepare trend boards with the designer
Requirements for this Role:
• Organisation skills
• An interest in apparel design and development
• Eye for detail
• Basic knowledge of the product development process
• Clear at communicating
• Proficient with Microsoft office
• Good presentation skills
• Experience in retail, but not necessary
• Good interpersonal skills
• Proactive uses initiative
This role is highly administrative with elements of design and development.
The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the developers, designers and the wider business, and become a part of the product development process
