2 x FLT Driver

We are looking for 2 x  Forklift Truck drivers

The post is a full time  position, based just outside Royston, Nr Barnsley

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £9.50 ph

Hours: 42.5 Hours per week

Mon-Fri Shift variations between 7/7:30AM- 5/5:30PM

Initial training will consist of yard work to gain product knowledge

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

· You will operate a Fork Lift Truck in a safe manner as directed

· You will report to Production Supervisor/ Team Leader

· Record all movements from and to production unit

· Quality check all goods before storage and report any issues to the Team Leader/ Production Supervisor

· Transportation of raw materials from and to the storage area

· You will ensure stock is stored in a safe manner and as directed complying with H&S policy

· You will submit daily vehicle defect and inspection sheets

· Supplying a production team with raw materials and removal of finished goods to Yard Team

· Ensure all team have a constant supply of work

· You may be required to carry out various yard work as and when required

· You will carry out such reasonable ad hoc duties as and when required

Key Attributes:

· Sound experience of handling stacks of pallets or other unstable loads over uneven surfaces

· Confident in loading and offloading of trailers in a timely manner

· Experience of supervising a small team of operatives

· Comfortable working in a bustling, ever changing environment

· Excellent organisational skills of self and working environment

· Self-disciplined

· Health and Safety conscious

· Support other FLT drivers and management teams in order to get jobs out

· Willing to go the extra mile – A strong work ethic is a must.

Qualifications and Skills

· Valid Counter Balance Fork Lift Truck Driving License

Preferred experience:

· Fork Lift Truck Driving: MUST have  experience

· Knowledge of pallets is preferable

· Knowledge of completing paperwork

· Attention to detail

· Working in a safe environment

Salary: £9.50 per hour

FLT Operative

Andy File Associates Limited are working as a Recruitment Business on behalf of our client with regards this temporary position.

Our very busy client based in Aylesbury  is looking for experienced FLT Operative to join their team working on an ongoing temporary basis.  For the right person, this role could go temp-perm.

You will need to be a good communicator as you will be working closely with a team of experienced operatives. You should have a flexible attitude, you will need to be aware of health and safety as it will be a key factor within the working day. You will also be loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand or with a forklift truck, sorting stock and general housekeeping.

Reporting to the : Production Manager

Responsibilities 

  • Stocking production lines with components and stacking finished goods in the storage area prior to dispatch
  • Loading finished products onto vehicles for dispatch
  • Dealing with appropriate paperwork
  • Relevant training may be given if required to work in other areas of the warehouse

Requirements 

  • Attention to detail
  • Good accuracy and organisational skills
  • Experience  of driving a Counterbalance FLT
  • To hold a current valid Counterbalance Licence

Details 

Hours of work  will be : 1.30pm – 11.30pm (Once trained)

Days : Monday – Thursday (on the later shift)

Training for the first couple of weeks will be on the day shift :6.00am – 2.00pm

Days  Monday – Friday (on the earlier shift)

The position is temp to perm and is – £10.50 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary, Full time

Transport: Own means of transport needed to get to location as public transport links not available

Pay rate : £10.50 p/h – pay can increase with experience

Training  on : Overhead crane, COSH, working at height and manual handling

FLT/Warehouse Operative

Andy File Associates Limited is working on behalf of their client as a Recruitment Agency with regards this temporary to permanent vacancy.

 

FLT/Warehouse Operative – Chesterfield

 

Rate of Pay: £9.36 per hour, increasing to £10 per hour upon offer of permanent contract

 

We are working on behalf of our client to find 2 suitable candidates to join their successful team. Ideally our client is looking for candidates with in date Reach and Counterbalance certificates as both are used on site.

 

The Role

 

  • Several years of continuous experience is preferential
  • Driving FLTs
  • General warehouse duties
  • Assisting colleagues with other activities as and when required
  • Candidates to attend a 30 to 45-minute driving assessment in warehouse to permit us to gauge their expertise
  • FLT certificates gained by externally qualified recognised providers are preferential as it gives us confidence that the standard of training is robust
  • In house certifications accepted in conjunction with observance of good driving at the assessment above
  • Candidates will need to be refreshed by our clients’ external training provider as soon as possible after commencement of employment and will not be permitted on a truck until this is delivered
  • All certificates must have been gained/refreshed within the last 3 years
  • Refresher training will be delivered as soon as possible after commencement as it is policy that certificates are refreshed every 12 months
  • All candidates to attend prior to employment a H&S Induction Day which is mandatory and a 65% pass mark in each of two tests on the day

 

Hours of Work:

Shift Patterns – 2 options:-

 

  • Days – 06:00 am – 14:00 pm
  • Afternoons – 10:00 am – 18:00 pm

 

Rate of Pay:

 

  • FLT Rate for days whilst on agency – 12 week temp to perm is £9.36
  • FLT Rate for overtime 1.25 – worked over 48 hours in 1 week
  • Saturday night or Sunday day is paid at double rate
  • 30 minute lunch break
