Area Sales Manager

Andy File Associates Limited are working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position.

Objective

Selling products primarily to Window and Door Manufacturers with opportunities to look outside the primary industry to sell common products into other sectors, seeking to develop both existing accounts and seek new potential business. The role will work alongside a newly introduced local delivery service – where our client have employed a Relationship Driver who will make deliveries, farm the area for new leads and generally create awareness of the company’s brand. Alongside this we will encourage the individual to seek opportunities with Contractors who install Fire Protection Systems to cross sell.

Position: Field Sales Manager

Our client envisages the successful candidate to be looking to develop sales primarily of FSC products. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the individual would work closely with the Northern Area Sales Manager who would continue to use his wealth of industry knowledge and technical know how to support and develop potential sales of Hardware Items. They are aiming to restore the area to £ 70,000 per month as soon as possible with the support of the Field Sales Manager.

Candidate:

The position will suit an individual who has external face to face experience as they will need to hit the ground running, so preferably someone with experience of selling hardware in the sector. They are looking for someone who is committed to building a career, and is prepared to maximise the working day. Ideally they should be educated to at least A level standard. They expect the candidate to spend 4-5 days on the road each week, and still find time in the late afternoon to do reports and quotes. One day per fortnight the candidate would be required to come to the office, however the Sales Director and Northern Sales Manager will be making efforts to spend time weekly with the candidate in the area to ensure they are not isolated and are fully supported.

Location:

Based from home but looking after the North West region of the country including Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Bolton and M62 corridor.

Package:

Salary up to £30k dependant on experience – with a commission package to be discussed on completion of 3 months.
Alongside Auto Enrollment into a Company Pension Scheme,
offering a company vehicle and the usual laptop/mobile.

The candidate will also benefit from a Health Plan and 20 Days Holiday excluding Bank Holidays per year.
