Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching engineering subjects to a caseload of apprentices by travelling to their workplace or using Teams
  • Teaching Maths and English functional skills to apprentices
  • Ensuring that apprentices progress in their training programmes and complete their training within the specified timeframe
  • Assessing work against apprenticeship standard or qualification requirements
  • Completing all administration to ensure compliance with organisational and government requirements
  • Taking part in company meetings and training sessions
  • Ensuring your own continuous professional development by undertaking training as required

Essential Skills needed  :

  • A full driving license and use of your own car is essential

Senior Field Service Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their existing team of engineers in order to service their growing network. Reporting directly to the Head of Commissioning, this challenging role will require a well-rounded engineer with experience and a good understanding of mechanical equipment, electrical installations and control systems in industrial applications.

You will be responsible for the safe execution of preventive maintenance tasks as well as providing a rapid response to any system malfunctions in order to minimise station down time. The ideal candidate will have experience of using technical documentation such P&IDs, electrical diagrams, control logic flow diagrams, equipment datasheets, etc. to support fault diagnosis.  You will be comfortable travelling to client sites.

You will have experience in the operation and servicing of industrial equipment for the process industries. Familiarity with the operation of PLC control systems is also highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will be expected to demonstrate a very good understanding of safe working practices whilst working at industrial sites. The job holder will be required to obtain a safety passport as part of the extensive training provided by our client.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience as a field services engineer or similar role
• Mechanical / Electrical HNC/HND /higher qualification or time served engineer in both disciplines
• 16th/17th /18th edition or similar electrical training
• Experience of performing preventive maintenance and equipment diagnosis and repairs in the process industries

Desirable experience and qualifications:

• Experience working with PLC control systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, and high pressure gas systems

Field Engineer

Duties

  • Provide maintenance support for operation, maintenance, installation, calibration and modification of Automated Test Equipment.
  • Analyse electronic equipment failures to determine the cause and then take the required corrective action.
  • Maintain bespoke and varied systems.
  • Provide guidance and training to the customer’s personnel on operational procedures and techniques.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and keep performance and maintenance records on equipment availability.

Testing Officer

Our client is going through a phrase of growth and is looking for a Testing Officer to join their already successful team.

You will be responsible for the reviewing document packs to allow for the accurate creation of testing documents. With your experience and/or education in materials, metallurgy and material specifications you will review the technical and material specifications that are required with regard to mechanical testing. You will draft the test order templates and will assist with drafting mechanical test orders to the approved test houses and collate the results with the correct order on a timely basis.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have an understanding of quality systems, ideally with experience working to aerospace and nuclear standards and a wide range of Material Specifications, and you should also have an ability to decipher test house certificates. You will need an excellent attention to detail, outstanding organisational skills and a competent working knowledge of Excel, Word and other windows based data systems.

Working across the business and with external suppliers and customers, you should have excellent communication and liaison skills coupled with a flexible and proactive approach

Hours: 8.15am and 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, 4.00pm finish on Friday. Each day includes a 45 minute unpaid meal break.
