Electro Assembly Team Member

Andy File Associates Limited are working on behalf of their client as a Recruitment Agency with regards this Permanent vacancy.

Responsible for the assembly of products, ensuring correct build standard and quality.

The candidate will also be required to undertake some soldering and cable assembly tasks as well as some system testing. Training will be provided in regard to system testing.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assembly of motor controllers/inverters, data loggers, battery packs
  • Assembly of sub-assemblies
  • Manufacture of cable loom
  • Basic soldering and PCB rework

Skills Required

  • Organised and accurate, with a flexible approach
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Appreciation of quality systems
  • Excellent dexterity and the ability to work on precision assemblies
  • Good level of IT Literacy
  • Motivated and results driven
  • Proactive and able to work under own initiative at times
  • Able to move heavy work piece between workstations
  • Manual Handling

Hours: Monday to Friday possible overtime and dependent on volume of work some weekend work.

Standard Hours 8.30-4.30 – 37.5 Hours Per week

Assembly Technician

Andy File Associates are working as a recruitment agency with regards this temporary to permanent position.

To perform a variety of assembly tasks in the manufacture of vehicle drive systems.

To include the following :

Coil winding
Assembly and machining of rotors.
Various heat treatment processes relating to motor production.
Manufacture and build of stators.
Building of the mechanical aspect of motor control boxes

Personal Attributes:

The successful candidate will have mechanical fitting skills and be capable of demonstrating the transfer of these into the above roles.

Personal Skill Requirements:

A careful and methodical approach.
A pride in the quality of their work produced
The ability and willingness to undertake any task with training where required.
A tidy and organised way of maintaining a safe and efficient working area.
It is expected that the candidate will have experience of working in an engineering environment and is fully conversant with tools and measuring equipment.
Experience of using machine tools e.g. Lathes etc. would be a distinct advantage.
