Reporting to the : Production Manager

Key Responsibilities for the Assembly Operative role:

  • Manufacturing parts of septic tanks, plant products , separators and any new products introduced
  • Assembling already made fibre glass cylinders, to form finished assembly
  • Mould preparation and repair and assembly to fibre glass components
  • Using resin and rivet techniques to assembly products
  • Product assembly
  • Reading drawings
  • Maintenance of equipment and work area
  • Manufacture a range of water treatment solutions to the standards defined within the specification and the company quality system
  • Assembly of the full range of  products, to include, reading of drawings, component assembly to finished goods, cutting, drilling, sanding, GRP laminating, sub assembly of steel fabrications, rotors, separator valves
  • Maintenance of equipment and Housekeeping to the highest standards

Electrical Assembler

Temporary role for the duration of 4 weeks minimum

Hours of work: 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday

08:00 – 13:30 Friday

Role

  • Reporting to the Electrical Assembly Supervisor you will be carrying out the following duties:
  • Assembly of electric vehicle battery packs
  • Unpacking lithium Ion battery modules from a pallet and placing them onto a table top assembly jig, Involves lifting 8 Kg modules repeatedly
  • Assembly of the modules into packs involves using a torque wrench and allen key

Assembly of Cables:

  • Once assembled, will be used for high voltage systems on an electric vehicle
  • At the point of assembly there is no electrical risk
  • Assembly consists of accurately measuring and cutting cable from a reel to a specific length (usually between 2.5M and 6M)
  • Each end of the cable has a crimp that is fixed by hand operated tools

Picking Kits:

  • Requires following a picking list of components that are identified with up to a 10 digit part number
  • Components are held line side to the job and do not require entry into stores
  • Once picking is completed the remaining stock requires counting and entering onto a spreadsheet

General Moving of Equipment:

  • Number of areas within the assembly department that require the relocation of equipment and workstations
  • Manually lifting and moving work tables and storage racking
  • Workstations are moved there will be a large amount of salvage stock that will require labeling and counting
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy
  • Ability to record data in hand written format
  • Manual handling and repetitive lifting of up to 8Kg single items
  • Operating of manual pallet handling equipment and the maneuvering of loaded battery stillages
