Assembly Workshop Fitter/Technician

To perform a variety of mechanical assembly tasks on varying components to include:
* Gearbox assemblies and hydraulic components as well as investigative and repair work
relating to returned items
* To perform any other tasks as required in the build of motors and associated equipment as required

* Motor winding

* Magnetising

*  Motor testing

Key Skills

* Keen and dynamic with a sense of purpose and pride in a job well done

* Fair amount of manual dexterity and patience required

* Methodical approach and competence using computers, working knowledge of excel advantageous

* Preferably apprentice trained in an engineering discipline some machining knowledge would be an advantage
* Safety aware

* Organised and methodical
* Flexible in their approach to working methods
* A willingness to be flexible on working hours when necessary

General Operatives

Andy File Associates are working as a Recruitment Business on behalf of our client with regards this temporary position.

Our client is a well know name within their industry both nationally and internationally. They are looking to increase the their work force due to continued success. They are looking for another operative to join working in various roles within their production facility.

The role:

  • •Assisting with the production of hot water cylinders through various processes from basic cylinder to finished product
  • Assembly of components, handling some considerably small parts, conducted in a sitting or standing position at a work station.
    • Working off technical plans and assembly kits.

Personal Attributes:

• Ideally possessing some plumbing and production/manufacturing environment experience.
• Have an eye for detail, strive for accuracy and respect quality in all aspects of the work.
• Be an effective communicator and able to work with people at all levels of ability and from different cultures and backgrounds.
• Possess the ability to work well as part of a team or alone.
• Must have Safety Boots

Hours of work:

Mon – Thur – 07.00 -15.30
Friday – 07.00 – 14.00

Hose Assembly

Assembly Technician

Andy File Associates Limited are working on behalf of their client as a Recruitment Agency with regards this temp to perm vacancy.

Our client is a manufacturer of vehicle drive systems

They are looking for two additional members of staff to work in their already experienced team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assembly and machining of rotors
  • Various heat treatment processes relating to motor production
  • Manufacture and build of stators
  • Building of the mechanical aspect of motor control boxes

Skills Required

  • Proactive and flexible approach
  • Excellent attention to detail with a careful and methodical approach
  • A pride in the quality of work produced
  • Manual handling and health and safety knowledge
  • The ability and willingness to undertake any task with training provided
  • A tidy and organised way of maintaining a safe and efficient working area

Electro Assembly Team Member

Andy File Associates Limited are working on behalf of their client as a Recruitment Agency with regards this Permanent vacancy.

Responsible for the assembly of products, ensuring correct build standard and quality.

The candidate will also be required to undertake some soldering and cable assembly tasks as well as some system testing. Training will be provided in regard to system testing.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assembly of motor controllers/inverters, data loggers, battery packs
  • Assembly of sub-assemblies
  • Manufacture of cable loom
  • Basic soldering and PCB rework

Electronic/Electrical Technician

Reporting the Production/Engineering Manager you will be responsible for producing one off electronic/electrical assemblies and test fixtures. You will also be required to assist in routine maintenance of test fixtures and some vehicle integration work.

Duties Include:

Soldering and PCB rework
First article builds and assisting in New Product Introductions.
