Andy File Associates Limited are working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this contract position.

Our client based in Sheffield is looking for a Recruitment Advisor to help them as they go through a very busy period of growth. This role will be on an interim basis initially for 6 months and you will be carrying out the following tasks:

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility from initial vacancy notification to day one of employment
  • Handling a range of different vacancies across the business, ranging from sales and business development professionals, to scientists and engineers at different levels of seniority and experience
  • Write and post effective, targeted and creative job postings to attract top talent
  • Maximising search opportunities through LinkedIn
  • Where necessary, headhunting candidates through CV search websites
  • Ensuring that any recruitment activity through external Recruitment Consultants is done in line with our PSL and always with clear prior terms agreed
  • Conducting initial telephone screening interviews before arranging virtual and final stage face-to-face interviews for recruiting managers, and supporting where necessary
  • Taking responsibility for the ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
  • Managing the Careers inbox
  • On-boarding new starters through their HR System
  • Working with the HR Business Partner to ensure all recruitment trackers are updated and booking any mandatory new starter training
  • Completing ‘Right to Work’ checks to verify eligibility to work in the UK and starting the initial Skilled Worker visa application if required
  • Maintaining ongoing updates with hiring Managers
  • Keeping up to date with recruitment policy and best practices and any changes in legislation through webinars and online research
  • Working closely with the HR Business Partner and the HR Services Manager to ensure a first-class onboarding and induction process is delivered

The successful candidate will be driven, pragmatic and able to work without supervision but be able to seek support and advice when necessary.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Previous experience in managing numerous vacancies
  • Previous experience as a Recruitment Consultant or Internal Recruiter role is essential
  • Accustomed to working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Self-motivated, able to work with minimal direction, equally happy collaborating with others
  • Naturally confident and at ease discussing vacancies with potential candidates – must have great listening skills
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise workload
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Knowledgeable in areas of recruitment best practice and relevant recruitment related HR legislation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experienced in negotiating terms with candidates and recruitment consultancies
  • Articulate with a high standard of written and spoken English
  • Excellent IT skills (must be competent with the Microsoft Office suite).
